COUGHDUST debut album A MEANS TO AN END out now.
(Stoner/Metal Finland, album release date 25.04.2014)

COUGHDUST (est. 2010) may be a new name to the metal scene, but make no
mistake, these Finns aren't strangers to their craft when it comes to
the subject of creating bone crushing heaviness. Their track record
consists of past and present bands such as Rotten Sound, Deathbound,
Enochian Crescent, Corpset, Vomiturition and Cartilage amongst others,
so one should expect no less than a full scale onslaught from this
4-piece stoner/death deconstruction unit. With a self-financed EP (2012)
under their belts they now have their debut full-length A MEANS TO AN
END released via Random Numbers / FA Productions.

Taking it’s influences from crushing heaviness of doom metal, down tuned
groove of early stoner and sheer terror of old school death metal,
COUGHDUST delivers an album with nine tracks and nearly 45 minutes of
hate, anxiety and unnaturally heavy darkness. Three of the album’s
tracks can be found in the band’s Internet sites, as well as their 2012 EP.

When it comes to work ethics, the band’s profession does not include
only the crushing menace of their musical skills. A Means to an End was
completely recorded, mixed and mastered by the band’s renowned drummer
Sami Latva while the bassist Peltokangas has kept himself busy taking
care of album’s layout and other graphic duties, such as shirt prints
etc. A Means to an End has been released through the band’s own label
and the lads have even managed to find time to organize numerous
concerts throughout Finland.

Having already played a considerable amount of gigs, the band is looking
forward to their first tour which is taking place in the autumn 2014,
even though COUGHDUST is ready and willing to take their relentless live
sound to even the most obscure stages around.
