KAVIAR KAVALIER - +Klinik+

Gus Rios joined Malevolent Creation in 2008 after the departure of Dave Culross in 2007, almost immediately following the release of 'Doomsday-X', which was also recorded and co-mixed by Gus Rios in Mercury Studios Florida. Doomsday-X was released on Nuclear Blast Records and was the tenth studio record released by the band, who in their history have gone through eight pretty amazing drummers! More than we have ever seen be part of one band. Gus also tracked the 2010 Malevolent Creation release, 'Invidious Dominion', released on Nuclear Blast Records, and completed many domestic and International tours with the band.

We understand the band has recently completed their next studio release, but at this point are not sure what will come of it. What we have gathered from a few guys who have heard some of the new material, is that it's some of the best work the band has tracked to date. We will keep you informed of any updates on the next record as they become available.

A statement from the band:

"We have fired our gay drummer Gus Rios and replaced him with a drummer that can play our songs and is a very famous drummer in death metal. Now we have a drummer that can play our music and play drums on our albums! No more fake editing drumming from Gus! Be happy people! We have a real drummer again and can play all the music from all our albums again!"

A statement from Gus:

"After several years, I have decided to part ways permanently with Malevolent Creation. The simple reason is personal differences. I appreciate all of the people I've worked with during my time with the band and want to thank all of them - I'm sure we'll work together again in the future with another band. Most of all, I would like to thank all of the fans who have supported the band! I'm sure you will continue to support."

"This opens me up for bands in need of a touring and/or recording drummer, as well as a full-time position if the situation is right. I can be reached on my facebook page here:

Thank you,
~Gus Rios
