THE STORY OF RELENTLESS:
"In the winter of 2011 Mike Hamilton, a man I had never met, asked me for help hosting a benefit Powerlifting meet for a friend who was struggling with Stage IV Liver Cancer. It soon became apparent to us that this meet was out of our control and it was becoming far bigger and far greater than we ever imagined...and so Relentless was Born.

Relentless 2012 marked the start of our relationship with HopeKids and we have now given them more than $120,000 in the past 2 years. HopeKids provides ongoing events and activities and a powerful, unique support community for families who have a child dealing with cancer or some other life-threatening medical condition.

In November 2012, Detroit raised $33,000 for a 9 year old boy named Austin Valentine. Austin was battling a brain tumor. The money raised allowed his Mother and Father the ability to stay off work and care for him until he passed away in the spring of 2013. As long as there is a Relentless in Detroit, Austin Valentine will always be part of it.The proceeds from Relentless Detroit are used to benefit families who have a child dealing with a life-threatening illness and also in 2013, half of the proceeds were given to the Ally Jolie Baldwin Foundation. Relentless Detroit has raised and given more than $165,000 in the past 2 years.
