Starting out in March the year 2000 makes this band a quite old but still fairly unknown band. However, with numerous, both known and unknown, bands behind them and over 70 years of handling instruments combined on three persons there is no reason to underestimate the passion and know-how of this band. As all struggling bands TURBOCHARGED has undergone various changes throughout the years but after trying out all sorts of line-up changes they decided that a three member concept is the best for both the sound and the survival of the band. In 2008 they finally had sorted out the last problems and recorded the CD-R demo “Branded forever” that consisted of the old material that could be salvaged without a second guitar. With newly found motivation the band started rehearsing new material and in 2009 they recorded a second official CD-R demo entitled “Arrogantus Metallus” and showed a more straight forward and back to basic style, pretty much in the manner it all started out 9 years earlier before all the line-up changes. This year also saw the first abroad booking for the band at THUNDERS OVER MIRIQUIDI in Elterlein, Germany. Sharing the stage with cult bands like TÖRR, DEATH SS, KAT, INTERMENT, TORMENTED, EXCRUCIATE, etc spawned a whole new passion within the ranks and as a damn nice bonus HELLROCKER RECORDS approached the band with a proposal to release the demos on vinyl. With their own studio in mind the band asked the labelboss if he didn’t want a brand new full-length LP instead and the foundation was laid for the release of “ANTIXTIAN”. The vinyl was released on December 24 in 2010 and in the same time CHAOS RECORDS got in touch for a CD version of it. The deal was sealed and the CD came out in 2011. The band kept writing new material and in 2012 the MCD “CHRIST ZERO” was recorded and released. Meanwhile all this took place the band played gigs, festivals and a small tour with bands like VIOLENTOR, SOFISTICATOR, PAGANIZER, DIE HARD, OBSESSÖR, HELL (UK), HAMMER, CHILDREN OF TECHNOLOGY, FINGERNAILS, GAE BOLGA, etc. The response was great all along and in 2013 they were ready for the recording of “AREA 666”, their so far most prolific release up to date. TURBOCHARGED has never sounded angrier, more blasphemous and brutal than on this kick-ass release and the future looks pretty damn good with rumors of a few tours coming up around Europe and hopefully a few festival gigs for next summer… Only time can tell what happens next but this band is out for blood and they will not go away anytime soon so you better get used to having them around and prepare for the worst!
