Němečtí old school death metalisté REVEL IN FLESH u Cyclone Empire!

We are completely proud to finally be able to announce the signing of German Underground Death Metal heroes REVEL IN FLESH!

Hailing from Swabia, REVEL IN FLESH are one of the leading forces of the “New Wave Of German Death Metal”, that was rolling over the scene like an unstoppable steamroller in the past 2-3 years. After we already co-operated already for two split-7” releases, we are very happy to welcome these awesome dudes in our little CYCLONE EMPIRE family!

Their third full album is called ‘Death Kult Legions’ and will be released as CD and LP on the 5 th of December 2014!

Every Death Metal freak out there will surely know what to expect and get what he deserves: Old school motherfucking Death Metal with a big love for the Swedish pioneers DISMEMBER, CARNAGE, NIHILIST, GRAVE, EDGE OF SANITY and ENTOMBED, and - not to forget - probably their best album so far!!!

Biography/Info:

REVEL IN FLESH was formed by Haubersson in late 2011 after it was obvious that his old band IMMORTAL RITES was starting to fall apart. The debut album “Deathevokation” was recorded as a duo with long-time comrade Maggesson (DAWN OF DREAMS, APOPHIS etc.) and was highly acclaimed within the underground scene.

The album was produced and mixed in Maggesson's very own VAULT M. Studios and finally mastered at the UNISOUND Studios by Dan Swanö (EDGE OF SANITY, BLOODBATH etc.). From that point Dan Swanö was involved in all productions of the band so far. Another really important person regarding the visual presentation of the band has been the rising Spanish coverartist Juanjo Castellano, who has been responsible for all album covers, several T-Shirt designs and illustrations thus far. His works became a sort of trademark to the band's presentation. 

Shortly after the release of “Deathevokation” in spring 2012 the band has grown from a two freaks project into a full force live band when Vögtsson (Ex- CHAOSREIGN, GRAVEN etc.) on Drums and the two Ex-DEATHVASTATION youngsters Herrmannsgard (Guitars) and Götzberg (Bass) joined.

In May 2012 REVEL IN FLESH played their very first show with PAGANIZER from Sweden. Already the 3rd gig for REVEL IN FLESH took place on the new established tent stage of PARTY.SAN Festival, the biggest event for extreme Metal in Germany. That show truly opened some gates and throughout the remaining year more support shows for bands like EVOCATION, DEAD, FLESHCRAWL, BRUJERIA plus a gig at the NOCTURNUS-Festival followed.

The songwriting of the band never stood still and possessed with a deadly dedication REVEL IN FLESH came up quicker than ever expected with their 2nd longplayer “Manifested darkness” in spring 2013.

This time the band recruited Dan Swanö for a proper mix & master job and the result offered a major step forward in terms of sound but most of all the whole way of songwriting and expression got much more of a very own touch. Still driven by the magical inspiration of the 90ies Death Metal scene REVEL IN FLESH started more and more to brew and breed an own sound identity, which was highly represented in tracks like “Rotting in the void” or the titletrack “Manifested darkness”.

In 2013 the band had to learn that only “Do it yourself” is the right way to go and throughout the whole year REVEL IN FLESH played shows with VENENUM, OBSCENITY, LAY DOWN ROTTEN, DEADBORN, CASKET as well as shows at highly acclaimed festivals like SUMMER BREEZE, PROTZEN and NRW DEATHFEST. One of the highlights for sure has been the three days minitour with Swedish PUTERAEON, which resulted in a split-7” EP later on.

In autumn 2013 REVEL IN FLESH got invited to play their first foreign show in Barcelona ( Spain) to join the killer billing with leading Spanishs old schoolers GRAVEYARD and  DECAPITATED CHRIST.

Hard and constant working on new material has always been significant for REVEL IN FLESH and beside all shows and organisation works the songwriting continued, especially with the band melting together more and more as a union.

2014 proofed that REVEL IN FLESH are definitely true vinyl lovers since several split-7” EP releases hit the lights through great underground labels like JOE BLACK, DOOMENTIA, CYCLONE EMPIRE or SELFMADEGOD.

Therefore not only b-side material was used, also new and exclusive songs got written.

On the live-front REVEL IN FLESH continued their death march with support shows for ENTRAILS, HOLY MOSES, FLESHCRAWL, KATAKLYSM and festival slots at IN FLAMMEN and STORM CRUSHER Fest.

After fulfilling their old contract and a longer period of search and negotiation REVEL IN FLESH finally signed a new deal with the already familiar business partner CYCLONE EMPIRE.

Finally the gates are opened for the release of the 3rd and so far most detailed album “Death Kult Legions”. It combines almost two years of in-depth songwriting and production process. The album still represents the real Death Metal fan dedication, for which REVEL IN FLESH always stood, but the whole material itself has certainly a very own character: Darker, more atmospheric, more varied but nevertheless still filled with brutality and the classical HM2 Death Metal distortion in your face!!! Deathheads beware!!!

“We’re damned glad about finally finding a trustworthy, Death Metal dealing label partner in CYCLONE EMPIRE!

REVEL IN FLESH fits like a fist in the face to the label’s rooster family with DEMONICAL, FACEBREAKER, FUNEBRARUM, BODYFARM, PAGANIZER, PENTAGRAM ( Chile) and our dear comrades of PUTERAEON.

So far we’ve already co-operated successfully on two 7”EP releases with CYCLONE EMPIRE and now we’re on the way to unleash our upcoming 3rd full length album through their channels.

We believe in the long-time business experience and professionalism of the label. Most of all we’re glad about having a label, which is located more or less in our own neighbourhood to have things more easy-going! Expect a real death dealing collaboration!

While writing this, Dan Swanö is taking care of the mix and mastering for our 3rd album at his famous UNISOUND Studios. The album will be entitled “Death Kult Legions” and it will reek of pure deadly Death Metal dedication! More infos coming soon!
