Hallo, What are you doing just now? and what is new in the country of Canada?
AH - Well right now we've just finished doing a little bit of touring mostly in Ontario and Quebec to follow up the release of our new album, the release has put a lot of new pressures on the band and we're taking time to take care of them all. We will be leaving shortly to do a month or so in the U.S. and another in Canada which we are really looking forward to. In Canada right now there is a lot of slush outside of my house.
You aren't well known for me..so, can you mentioned short history of your band?
AH - We've been a band for about five years. We've practiced a lot we've put out a cassette and 2 cd's and that brings us to now.
Why are you calling yourselves THE END?
AH - It was the only name that satisfied us all and we love the idea of the final state or absolutes in general are fascinating, because they are fantastical. They really don't exist but we think they do.
Within dividia is your third rekord. Are you satisfied with work you have done on this rekord?
AH - It is the thing we've done that I think we are the most satisfied with and the idea is that with each record there will be the progression into making a record that is perfect. Obviously there is no truly perfect things except in a romantic sense, but it is striving for that process that guides us in making music
And are you satisfied with Relapse Rec.?
AH - Relapse is a great label for a band like us, in our position and what's more we like the attitude with everyone there, we get along and that's important when you are entrusting someone with something you are so deeply invested in. That of course applies to both sides.
What are you awaiting from Within Dividia?
AH - Nothing more than hoping the people that are into our style of music get the chance to hear it and hopefully enjoy it as well. Other than that it's really still all up to us. And we want to make the most of it.
Your new Cd impressed me with its mood. Did you work like this to get the integrated feeling?
AH - Definitely the more of the album that was written the more we fell in to the "mood" and the more we tried to go with it. We really wanted things to be raw, natural and dark and that's sort of how it turned out.
How can you describe the style you are playing?
AH - Rock and roll? I personally wouldn't describe it, but for the sake of the question I would probably say metalcore just because I hear it thrown around a lot. I don't think were metal, I don't think were hardcore, I don't think were punk rock, were just us.
What about the scene of Canada? How it looks like?
AH - The scene is great, because there are a lot of great bands and so there are a lot of Canadians who generally love music and live bands, we can only really compare to the US since that's the only other place we've toured and it's smaller, but in a way I feel more genuine rock scene.
Any new plans for new CD?
AH - Well were working on the first step right now which is writing something for it. That's the plan so far, we will keep you posted.
Do you want to tour in Europe? Have you ever been there?
AH - We are dying to come over there we have some touring to do in North America still and then were going to make it happen. Even if I have to paddle across the ocean in a kayak with a banjo it will happen.
